Q & A with KB Barrett
Can you tell me a bit about yourself and how became an author?
So I have been writing for about 10 years as a hobby, but up until this last year I didn’t have the courage to publish! Finally my husband talked me into it and I haven’t looked back!
I love every second of it.
What is your writing process like?
I’m a total panster!
I sit down when I feel like it and just let the story come!
I do try to hit a word count goal daily, but I don't’ push it if it isn’t there.
What do you like to do when you are not writing?
I love being outdoors! Hiking, camping, canoeing, I love it all! My husband and I pack as much as we can into our summers!
How do you celebrate when you are finished writing a book?
With a big mug of Chai Tea! (I’m slightly obsessed)
How do you celebrate when one of your books is released?
Normally with a family day! I love spending time with my kids and remembering how blessed I am to be able to actually have the opportunity to write!
What is the most challenging part of writing?
For me, it’s getting out of my head and letting the writing just flow! It’s so easy for me to get into the ‘Well would my readers like this?’ groove that I forget that I’m doing this for me!
What part of writing is the most fun for you?
All of it!
I love the whole journey from the first words to the challenges of plot holes and eventually seeing it on my shelf!
What Authors or other books have inspired you to write?
Definitely Deneny Perry and Kristen Ashely!
What is your favorite passage from one of your books?
It would have to be from my upcoming book The Twisted Roads Home that comes out next spring.
The main character is a gruff on the out side marshmallow on the inside guy that bends over backwards for his girl!
“I love you with everything In me baby. Finding you was finding home.” *Swoon*
If you could meet any of your characters, who would it be and what would you say to them?
I have to pick one! AHHH! But I would probably go with Danny!
I have watched him grow front the very beginning of this series and I can’t wait for y’all to read him!
I absolutely adore him!
Thank you so much, KB for joining in on my Blogmas! I really appreciate you!
