Life in NYC isn’t what Finley Dixon hoped it would be. Instead of living in the Big Apple with his high school sweetheart and studying architecture, he’s playing a supporting role in her Broadway dreams.

When tragedy strikes, he finds himself on the losing ending of a heartless ultimatum. Shoving his life and regrets into a suitcase he returns to Maine, his heartbroken father, and a floundering maintenance business that needs his help.

The sight of a stranger running on the beach reignites a fire in Fin that he thought had been left behind with his former life. The more he gets to know the mysterious Elle, the more he wants to earn her trust.

Will she let him into her heart or will he be left wanting more just like last time?

STAND BY YOU is a short novel about tragedy and love. It is the duet to Fight Song, the first novel in the Firefly Series.

𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈: This novel talks about childhood sexual abuse and may be a trigger to some.

As the duet to Fight Song, Iannah's debut, I knew the story and thus had an idea how this book was going to go. I was wrong. We were given so much more, and I was shown a side of Fin I wasn't expecting. As this is Fin's story, you learn more about his past, his parents, and the emotions behind his actions in the first book. And believe me, you will love this just as much as FS, if not more. Fin was perfect.

I wouldn't say it's a necessity to read Fight Song first, BUT I do recommend it. Both books are beyond incredible and I get chills each time I think about them! These books deserve a place on your shelf.

P.S. - Be prepared for a crap ton of feels. Oofta.
