Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is part of a series, and I’ve only read the first book of the installment so far. I wanted to tell you all about this story before I continued on. I don’t normally read stories about werewolves because I get made fun of by my husband when I say woofs instead of wolves 😂.. Also, I usually find them almost all the same. The opposite can be said about Wild Blood though. I have yet to read a werewolf story like this one.
Paige is a psychologist who lives in Washington, but after her uncle Jack passes, she is left his estate and she decides to move herself and her practice to Moon Grove.
Eli Blackwood is the sherif in Moon Grove and like most of the town, has a secret that he doesn’t want Paige to know. Although, unbeknownst to her she is part of the secret too.
Throughout the story Paige is stalked and almost killed a few times. It seems someone doesn’t want her there, doesn’t want her alive, and/or doesn’t want her and Eli together. Meanwhile, Eli and Page are trying to figure out what happened to her parents when she was 5 while trying to keep Paige safe at the same time.
This was a very well thought out and put together story. There was not a cliffhanger at the end, but there is more to the story, which is good for those who hate cliffhangers like me. Either way, the rest of the installment is already out (I’ll place the links below). The story is captivating and I didn’t want to put it down. It was slow in parts, but the rest of the story made up for it.
The love story portion of it was great. It is definitely a slow burn but the amount of palpable attraction between Eli and Page is why I put the heat score at 1 star.
Spoil alert…. There is a lone wolf in town…. Is this wolf the one trying to kill Paige? I highly suggest picking up the book and finding out!
There is so much more I want to say, but if I say anything else or will definitely give some of it away and I don’t want to do that.
Characters to watch for: Clarissa and the lone wolf.
